Dental Prostheses

The prosthesis is an artifact that makes it possible to restore or replace missing dental components. Its purpose is to restore oral functionality in patients who are partially or completely edentulous (toothless) by substituting artificial dental components for real teeth.

Certain prosthetic procedures can be utilized to rectify functional and cosmetic irregularities in the size, color, or placement of natural teeth.

Dental laboratory personnel use safe materials with the CE mark to produce certified dental prosthesis that are created to order.

The definition of the prostheses in the typology is as follows:
Mobile dental prosthesis.
Total or partial mobile dental prosthesis are available. The most recent generation of dentures is made consisting of teeth made of resin or ceramic that are fastened to a resin framework that mimics the appearance of the gums. Dentures (total mobile dental prostheses) are utilized for a full dental arch.
With partial dental prostheses, the scenario necessary for proper chewing is recreated by the artifacts resting on a framework that adheres to the gums with unique attachments.

Fixed dental prosthesis.
The fixed dental prosthesis, consisting of crowns or bridges is fixed permanently, and to remove it, the intervention of the dentist is required.
There are two different fixed prostheses: 1. prosthesis on implants (screwed or cemented); 2. prosthesis on teeth (rests on natural teeth).

Fixed prostheses on implants.
Fixed prostheses on implants can be supported by a minimum of 4 implants to a maximum of 10/12 implants with a metal reinforcement structure.
