Dental Surgery

Dental surgery, often known as oral surgery, refers to the variety of surgical procedures used to treat oral diseases that are resistant to conservative or non-surgical treatment.

Oral changes throughout time may result in issues with the jawbone, gums, and teeth in addition to the teeth themselves. Dental surgery performed by skilled dentists may be necessary to address a specific condition as well as to prevent future issues with tissue inflammation, deep cavities, and the emergence of wisdom teeth that may jeopardize general oral health.

Dental surgery aims to reestablish oral harmony from both an aesthetic and practical standpoint.

What are the primary procedures of dental surgery and dental care?

  • Extraction of periodontopathic teeth: When a tooth is irreparably damaged by pyorrhea or is otherwise irreparably compromised and cannot be treated with alternative therapies.

  • extraction of roots or of teeth that are impacted or semi-impacted, such as wisdom teeth that have not erupted.

  • In the event that endodontic treatment is ineffective for treating inflammatory issues, an apicoectomy is performed.

  • Cyst ectomy involves surgically removing any cystic growths that may typically develop on impacted teeth or their roots.

  • Maxillary bone regeneration: In some circumstances, it is required to add bone to the maxillary sinuses, which must be lifted in order to be raised, in order to install a dental implant.
